Tiny Dancer!

Tonight was parent visitation @ dance class. As I was watching my angel dance, it almost made me cry. I remember when I first brought her to dance class she was 3, now she's 7. My how she's grown. She's growing up way to fast. My tall girl. Where does she get that? :) Shelby & her dance buddy Madison!

How do I love thee?

I have the best husband ever! He said "I'll pick Shelby up from school so you can work late." Awwwww!!!!! I worked until 5:00 got home to the dishes done and dinner ready. Ok ladies, is that not the best? He got some serious points for that one. Thanks Big Daddy! This is my Donna Reed look. Look hun no dishes! Wahoooooo!!!

Overwhelmed!

Ok, does anyone else feel like it's just too much sometimes? This week is jam packed & seemingly getting fuller by the moment. I keep taking deep breaths & telling myself your good under pressure you can do it. The problem today is I'm covering for Maggie today (receptionist) so if the phone isn't ringing, I have too much time to be thinking about all the things I should be doing. Yikes!!!!! Ok I've only got one foot on the crazy train instead of two, so sorry for the rambling. Also have to remember this to shall pass! Hope everyone is having a great purposeful day! Until later!

I put Shelby in this huge flower pot at Menard's. What the heck kinda mondo flowers or plants go in this pot? We went to church, dinner, then a trip to Menard's (looking at kitchen faucets,we need a new one) Shelby was singing on the way there "Save big money at Mylard's" (Too funny!)

Brenda, Madi & Shelby. For the record Brenda wanted me to say, the only time she fell was when Shelby knocked her down. But that's ok I was the only 1 who DIDN'T fall at all. Madi & I. Madi said "Oh noooooo I'm going down. Oops she went down. I was soooo scared & nervous to go skating. As it turns out we had so much fun!!!!!!!!!! Thanks Brenda & Madi for going with us. Also thanks Shelby for having your old Mama try new things out of her comfort zone, you help to keep me young(er).

Yikes!

Today's a big day at the Fick house. Shelby got a great report card so I said "Shelby let's do something special to celebrate your report card, what would you like to do?" She says with no hesitation......ice skating.......OMG Were leaving in about 10 mins so I hope we both survive it! Shelby just said to me, "I've waited all my life for this moment" (no pressure, I hope it lives up to her expectations) She watched Ice Princess the other night & wants to be like them.....we'll see! Wish us luck & no broken bones. More to follow later.

Shelby & I were checking the blogs. Then we went to see the count on 300 voices. She says "Mama this is going up way to slowly." That's a modern day kid girl huh? I want it & I want it now! Have a great weekend all!

New Shoes Wahooooo!!!!!

Daren got new bowling shoes. Wow are those huge or what? Size 14. Shelby & I helped pick those out. We both loved the flames. Is he going to be the coolest Daddy bowler ever? We say yes!!!!

An update on Daren's weight loss. Let's just say Daren had alot of fun this past weekend. He gained 1 pound. That's okay, it's just one week. You can do it Big Daddy, keep going!

Nervous!!!!!!!

I start teaching JA classes tomorrow in Shelby's 1st grade class. Once a week for 5 weeks. So Shelby notices I'm stressed about something so here's the conversation. Shelby~ What's a matter Mama? Me~ I'm nervous about tomorrow. Shelby~ Don't be nervous Mama, it's just a bunch of loud kids, who don't listen just like me! How precious is she, I ask you?

Daren & our friend Ev bowled in city tournament yesterday. Afterwards we all (Holly-Ev's girlfriend, Bryce-Holly's son, Shelby, Daren, Ev, & I ) went to Wise Guy's Pizza for lunch.
