Pop won bingo once, Big Daddy won twice. Big Daddy got the dog for Shelby & a sparkly bracelet. Shelby was thrilled. We had a great time!

Shelby & Chavez from her class. We (Nana & I) were taking pictures & Chavez decided he was going to be in the picture. Cute. We went to school today to have lunch with Shelby & all her friends. We took Subway with us. The kids all want to sit with us because it's the only table that gets to talk, which is funny because they have about 10 minutes to eat. It's fun kind of like being a rock star.

Dance clinic!

Shelby went to the West High dance clinic @ West High (oddly enough) She had a great time except when we got there after 4 hrs. of dance clinic she was pooped. It didn't help that it was like 85 degrees in there, I was enough warm (not hot, but warm) Daren & Shelby were melting :)

Mama screwup!

So last night I was all excited about family time this weekend, taking it easy a bit...ha! The phone rings at 9:15 a.m. it's Miss Lisa from Danceworks, wanting to know if Shelby was coming to the dance clinic this morning. Ummmmm....YES, I tottally forgot! Guess I won't be getting mother of the year award this year, darn I thought I was close too! (NOT!!!!) So change of plans, Shelby's at the dance clinic & Daren & I are going to spend most of the day together just the 2 of us! I still can't believe I forgot, I hope that's not a sign of a super busy, running weekend  wanted to avoid. Oh well never bored around here! Good weekend all, pics of dance clinic later!

Finally!

Thank god it's over....this week has been crazy, bad, good, & everything in between! Big Daddy's off tomorrow, which is nice, so were getting some much needed family time in this weekend. On Monday in laws from Virginia Beach are coming for a visit for a week & of course we have something going on every night but Tuesday ugh! Shelby has a acting performance on Monday night too, so hoping to get some rest in before another crazy, busy week.  I missed it....yesterday was Big Daddy & I's first date 18 years ago! Big Daddy I'm so glad you invited yourself to come along to the funny bone, 18 yrs. ago. I can't imagine my life with anyone else! You still get my heart going, & make me laugh, here's to many, many more dates & years together! Love you Big Daddy! Hope everyone has a great stress free, relaxing weekend!

How Do I Look Mama?

Shelby & I watch the show on TLC called "Say Yes To The Dress" I've created a monster. She's dancing around saying I can't wait to do the Daddy/daughter dance. Say what? Whoa slow down.... I hear your life flashes before your eyes but this is a little too fast for me.

This is my heart right here! I can't believe how fast she's growing up! We walked home from school today & she wants to talk about her life, she wants to know every detail, what happened, how we felt, etc.......

Ta-Dah!!!! She said, "Mama it's the lace that makes the dress." Oh my!

It's all about the shoes. Shelby was upset I didn't have any white sparkly wedding shoes. The nerve of me!

What a Smarty Girl!

Today was report card day. Shelby did very well, she got 10 E's. She also did well in her Math tag. Were very proud of you Shelby girl keep up the good work!

Lexi Loo Hoo & Shelby girl. I can't believe how fast their growing up! This is Shelby & Lexi's first year in Poms, & it was interesting....The tumbling part & the dance/cheer part are taught by high school students whom ummm... Let's just say not what I excpected. Oh well!

80's hair part 2

Today is crazy hair day at school. She wanted 80's hair. So in the morning with no aqua-net this is the best I could come up with. This is her tortured look.

She was thrilled with her transformation.

Hair Raising

The back of the do. What you can't see are all the rubber bands underneath to get it to stick out. How I got a child with straight hair that doesn't like to curl is beyond me.
